Easter 2009

Wow, what a day Easter was!  We had between 120-140 in attendance.  We prayed for 20 to be baptized, He sent us 8.  Praise God! Five of them we had planned before hand, but the other three were guests! The service was held outdoors.  We had a time of worship and praise, Mike had a short serman, and then on to the celebration of baptisms.  The band played and the worship team sang during the baptisms, this was our first to try it like this and it went really well!  After the service we had hotdogs, snow cones, cotton candy, and popcorn.  We had an Easter Egg hunt and games for the kids!  We ask that you would please continue to pray for the safety of our family and the church family.  Our family made it safely for the week of Easter, no one was injured or became sick, Glory to our Lord!  Satan, instead, attacked families of the church, please lift up these families to the Father as they will need them during these next few months.

An answered prayer!  Thomas realized a few months ago he was not sincere the 1st time he prayed.  He is now saved and has his baptism on the right side, PRAISE GOD!
Ready, set, hunt eggs!
Nathan was more enthused with the dandelions than hunting the eggs, this was so cute, he said he was blowing them to Jesus!
I Love my Cotton Candy!
This is Caleigh & Prince, a new couple not only in our church but new christians.  They also were baptized!

NBC 09 Cross Walk

We recently participated in a cross walk with the Southern Baptist Association.  Their go was to reach over 1000 miles and have over 300 prayer walkers.  There were over 20 churches whom took part in this.  NorthStar actually had 22 prayer walkers and walked over 2 miles. With all who participated we made a cross through Las Vegas by walking Charleston and Decatur.
Acts 17:23 mentions walking about, carefully examining the objects of their worship.  Our goal as we prayer walked was to see the world as God sees it, feel the burdens He feels, and to love as He loves.  Prayer in motion moves from house to house, office to office, school to school, church to church; wherever God leads us in prayer.  Ultamately, Prayer in Motion goes from heart to heart.  We want to ask you to join us not only for Las Vegas, but also for your own church and cities.  We will be joining Him in His work His way, targeting changed hearts. changed lives, changed families, and a changed church.

The Mormon Chrurch is Huge here.
Pray for what will be watched on their T.V.
Pray gates would be opened to allow us in to minister to these communities.
Pray for politicians as they would make Godly choices.
Pray for fire fighters.
Pray that we would be able to partner with Aliente Casino to reach this community.
