OUR SPORTS LIFE
Alexa and Thomas have been swimming competively for 7 yrs.  They both really enjoy swimming and are pretty good at it.  They both swim all 4 strokes.  Alexa's best stroke is the breast, where Thomas' best is freestyle.  Today they competed in several events, too many to mention.  Alexa won 1st in the 200 IM and the 200 breaststroke.  Thomas finished 1st in the 100 freestyle and 3rd in the 100 butterfly, they both placed in other events also.  We are very proud of them both and enjoy watching and cheering them on not only at competitions but also practices.  Here are a few pictures I took today, they are not very good because I had a 4yr old (Nathan) attached to me!  I also have pictures of Thomas playing football, which he loves, that I need to post soon!

ONE BIG PRAISE TO OUR GOD
Mike was on the way home from work one day this week and God really prompted him to go inside a casino he was driving by.  Feeling very odd about the whole deal, he obeyed!  He walked around waiting on God to lead him and of course He did.  He was lead to witness to a gentleman playing a slot machine and was able to lead him to Christ.  His name was Cody, please keep him in your prayers that he was sincere and that he would grow in Christ!

Family Snow Day at the Mountains

We all really love the mountains.  It is a great place for us to "escape" from the many stresses of being church planters in this very dark city.  We were able to take off up to the mountains for a relaxing fun day a few weeks ago.  The kids enjoyed just being out of the house and getting to run, play, and sled in the snow!
As for NorthStar Baptist, God is doing amazing things.  We have had 4 salvations over the past few weeks.  The youth group is growing and lives are being changed!  Please continue to lift our family and this church up as we continue to serve our Lord Jesus!
